The Music Industry is Dead: Long Live Music! [5/1] #FREE

What was the “music industry” to begin with? What happens to music without it? In this lecture and Q&A, prescription Mmmmaven co-founder David Day discusses how we can see music survive and thrive in this digital age.

Having recently conducted a series of interviews with music industry majors at different universities, Day has gotten to know the concerns and thoughts on the subject. With experience in nearly every aspect of the business (from retail to distribution, from journalism to production) the Mmmmaven co-founder has a considerable perspective on the subject. Via projector and whiteboard, Day will illustrate his thoughts and then open the discussion up to questions.

The lecture is free and open to the public, but space is limited. Alumni, musicians and professionals of all sorts are welcome to attend.
