Three Reasons to #MakeItNew Tomorrow

1. It’s Free Before 11pm

Typically, we charge in or around $20 for our globally-admired guests (still a very reasonable cost all things considered) but with our three in-house resident DJs in the club, we try to reduce the cost to you to zero. Got friends who have never been to one of the nation’s greatest weekly parties? (Why not?) Invite them.

2. The Sound Remains the Same

Of course, the Baltimoroder soundsystem will still be there. No one knows the acoustic nooks and crannies of the Middlesex Lounge like Baltimoroder. Literally. He’s had 14 years and an estimated 3,570 hours to make it so. Come to just sit and soak in the sound. You won’t be alone.

3. The people!

Recently, the CBC News has reported on findings that young people (aged 21-29) have a hard time finding and keeping a social network. Whether it’s the result of jobs or growing up online or otherwise, that is what our nightclub is all about: Making and keeping connections, which, in some cases, lead to matrimony. From our baller bouncers, to our dedicated bar staff to the volunteers every week, our people are what makes … it. New.

Plus like the sign says:

Three Reasons to Make It New Tonight

Tonight we have a special debut at our weekly party with Bradley Zero. The question you might ask is: Why go out on a Thursday night? Here are three…

1. Bradley Zero is known for his overwhelmingly positive and delightful sets of disco and house vibes.

In case you’re into that sort of thing…

2. You can say “I saw Bradley Zero back when…”

Just like Bob Moses or Flume (or, well, many, many others) …

Bradley helped shape Boiler Room into the world conquering institution that it is today, helping steer it in a multitude of musical directions to shine light on the likes of Hiatus Kaiyote, Mood Hut, Beautiful Swimmers, Jan Schulte, Nils Frahm, Jay Daniel and countless other underground heroes whose music had yet to reach a wider audience.

3. Thursday nights are for the professionals

Maybe the best feeling we have after 13 years of throwing one of the longest-running weekly parties in the world, is the ride home. Driving/cycling/riding through the almost empty Boston streets, listening to something like opening resident Coralcola, is special.

See you tonight!

#MakeItNew Resident Coralcola on Dublab

“Dying Songs” focuses on melancholic electronic music but isn’t limited to that. Sometimes it gets dark, sometimes I try to mix techno awkwardly, sometimes i get nostalgic… I like stuff that’s dreamy, ghostly, pretty and sad. I’ll try out new productions of my own, as well. I’m keeping it pretty open and we’ll see how it evolves.”

Make It New resident DJ Coralcola turned in a dreamy, droney mix for legendary internet radio station Dublab and its long-time resident DNTEL aka Jimmy Tamborello. It includes a few of his own unreleased tracks alongside some folks who have visited Boston over the year… Tracklist is below.

3 Reasons to Make It New Tonight

1. It’s free of charge before 11pm

Typically, when we bring in one or another world-renowned artists, costs can approach $20 (still relatively low!), but tonight is a great example of a time to invite your friends, your family, or, well, anyone to listen to the future sounds Baltimoroder and Coralcola can provide.

2. The sound system will be primed.

If you’ve not been to Make It New in a while, original resident, (and original Mmmmaven instructor) and audio engineer Baltimoroder has funneled his 13 years of experience at Middlesex Lounge and put it into the sounds system. Our advice? Stand at the back in the middle for the best audio experience.

3. The music will be fantastic
