Boston-based website Happps recently profiled one of our most-recent success stories from inside the Mmmmaven Project lab: Cakewalk.

In the interview, James calls out Soul Clap for their tremendous influence in Boston, Wonder Bar in Allston and its Binary crew, and… McDonald’s (??!).

Machinedrum has gone from solo beats producer to A/V guru as one-half of Sepalcure and now unveils a live project as Machinedrum for his latest album Vapor City.

The video for the lead single, “Gunshotta,” makes quite an entrance.

For the tour, Travis Stewart (that’d be Machinedrum) will be playing live electronics, guitar and vocals, while his collaborator, Lane Barrington, is handling the drums and samples. The live show premieres at this year’s Decibel Festival, happening in Seattle this weekend.

The tour comes to Brighton Music Hall on Saturday, November 11th and tickets ill go on sale this Friday at Noon at this link. Want to know the moment they go on sale? Your best bet is to follow us on Twitter.

Opening duties fall to Nick Hook. Gonna be a hot night.
