The Future is Female this Friday

Learn about music technology from some of the talented women from MMMMAVEN — friends, partners, alumnae, and current students.

This event will feature DJ and live performances, gear demos, Q&As, and general discussions.

Generations of girls have grown up believing technology is not designed for them. Times are a-changing, but for many women that ingrained idea is still true. We want to feature some of our graduates and have them tell you their story and show off their skills.

There will be plenty of awesome music, networking opportunities, refreshments, and fun!

Performances by: Azurely, BEYUN, Dissoule, abco, Guzzalina, Nara DJ, Jayana, Musicisart, C8, DJ Machi

Beats By Girlz Open House & Fundraiser

Beats by Girlz & Mmmmaven present an open house to learn more about the music production program this January for girls, non-gender binary, and/or trans youth ages 8-13.

You’ll have an opportunity to play around with equipment and ask instructors questions. We’ll also be raising money for schorlarships.

Beats By Girlz is a non-traditional, creative and educational music technology curriculum and initative designed by Erin Barra that was initially developed at The Lower Eastside Girls Club in NYC. Beats By Girlz is designed to empower young women in music technology by providing them with the guidance, access, tools and role-support to develop their interest in music production, composition, engineering, etc.
