Longtime Make It New resident Coralcola has opened for many, even hundreds, of his favorite musicians in the world. Over the course of many years, he has straddled the worlds of Boston’s underground, going from hip-hop to noise to releasing his own acclaimed music. So, naturally he was the pick to play with the internationally-lauded Mount Kimbie last week.
Supported @mountkimbie 8 years ago on their 4th US show ever. Now we get to share the decks tomorrow night @middlesexlounge #makeitnew

Luckily for us, he recorded his opening set, which builds the sonic space almost perfectly in welcoming the beloved duo, who themselves balance between different worlds. In his mix, listen in for tracks from Tycho, West Norwood Cassette Library, James Blake, 2000F & J Kamata, Art Of Noise, and this classic remix from Robag Wruhme.
Make It New is one of the longest-running techno/house/new music weekly parties in the world. It takes place every Thursday at Middlesex Lounge. While it is difficult to keep everyone up-to-date on who is playing (for best results subscribe to this events page or follow us on Twitter), just know every Thursday you’ll always find the most refreshing sounds for your mind there. Entrance always is provided via cash at the door.
Come to dance, listen, or socialize, but mostly, please come and do all three.
