Free Stuff Friday from Ableton

Today, in honor of Free Stuff Friday, Ableton is giving away a bunch of free content from drum loops to classic 909 grooves made famous from Detroit Techno. Ableton teamed up with AskAudio to create a new series entitled “Electronic Artists Revealed”, which is going to have a select few artists release courses on a number of topics such as live performance, sound design, and how they accomplish all of it. This week, Deepchild, Miro Pajic, and Marc Smith released analog synth loops, drum kits, and effects in celebration of the new series. You can pick up the free sounds here!

Ableton also released a 909 Grooves and a Detroit Techno pack that can both be downloaded for free. The 909 Grooves pack is a Live Set that’s readily usable for mixing and matching different drum parts so be sure to check them out!

That’s not all, Ableton is also giving away Midular, which is a set of modular Max for Live devices for MIDI control and sequencing. Many of these devices are very simple yet extremely useful like the quantizer for live input. You can download Midular for free here!

All of these packs are available for free download on the original Ableton blog. If you are interested in learning more about Ableton and how to produce music or perform with it, be sure to check out MMMMaven’s music production classes!
