Are you interested in learning the basic skills, techniques, and technologies used in VJing? Then join us this Friday at Mmmmaven as Jay Medina, also known as JMVJ, gives a crash course on the art of VJing. Click here to view the event page.
VJing is a live visual performance art that combines the manipulation of images and videos with music.
Jay Medina has been VJing since 2007. He has performed at many clubs and events in and around Boston, including Uhuru Afrika, Good Life, and DISCO-NNECTION. By using software such as Arkaos’s GrandVJ, Resolume, and MadMapper, Medina creates a unique blend of nightlife, cinema, and visual art.
This introductory workshop will discuss the history of the art, basic VJ theory, and demonstrations of some of the software involved with a live VJ performance.
It will take place from 7:00 – 8:00 PM. Don’t miss out!
