3 Reasons Not to Miss #MakeItNew with Lee Bannon

1. It could get weird

Bannon is nothing if not a musical chameleon. He’s worked extensively in hip-hop, drum & bass and jungle, among other styles. There’s no reason to doubt that his #MakeItNew set will follow suit and deliver an intriguingly unpredictable mix.

2. You may be more familiar with him than you think

Bannon’s roots are in the New York hip-hop collective Pro Era. He served as rising star Joey Bada$$’s tour DJ, and produced a number of tracks for the Brooklyn-based rapper.

3. He’s a “producer’s producer”

Bannon recently signed with the venerable Ninja Tune imprint, cementing his status as a forward-thinking producer who ranks among today’s best and most innovative. His myriad of projects draw from a huge array of influences, and pull it all together successfully. In his own words: “I think I’m one of a rare breed of producers, especially in hip-hop, I think it’s rare that they have a sense of history and production.”
